The latest collection from the editors of "Vogue Knitting" focuses on hats in all their various shapes and styles. After a brief introduction to hat history, anatomy, and techniques, the pattern section explores hats, first by shape and then by technique. Approximately twenty of the patterns are from the "Vogue Knitting" archives, and the rest are brand-new. The designers include a mix of the well known (Kate Gagnon Osborn, Norah Gaughan, and Pam Allen) and lesser known, and the styles are varied. The designs are heavy on women's hats, although different yarn choices could make them suitable for men, and the patterns are designed for a variety of skill levels.
